I have been monitoring Hero's temp since Weds, so I can get a good baseline on her normal range. This morning she had dropped down .5 degrees lower than her normal so 5 hours later I retook her temp, which had soared to 100.4 (still a normal temp but her average is 99.7) and tonight it has dropped back down to 99.3 degrees. I think she's probably still a few days away from whelping but I will be keeping a close eye on her.
Hero has spent the last 4 nights in her room with her new box. I slept on the couch in there the first few nights so she could get used to the idea. As you can see she's quite happy to sit or lay down in her new box now! She's still fairly active for being so large, which is good since it will help her with her ordeal ahead.
And with that, it is time to get some sleep myself. One of these nights I will probably be lacking it completely so I better get some now while I can!
